For accurate testing of pH levels in freshwater aquariums.
What is pH?
One of the major factors which determine good water quality is pH, which is the measure of acidity/ alkalinity in your water. Neutral water has a pH of 7, acid water has a pH of between 0 and 6.9 and alkaline water has a pH between 7.1 and 14.
As a guide, your tap water generally has a pH higher than 7. Most common Tropical Fish are kept in a pH range of 6.8 to 7.5.
Why does the pH level change?
Changes in pH can be caused by chemical reactions and the accumulation of substances in the aquarium.
